Difference between sidereal day and solar day


For the character at the bottom, facing the Sun, it is noon in solar Venusian time.
After 117 earth days, Venus has rotated 187° around the Sun measured anticlockwise (117 × 360° / 224.7). Moreover, Venus has turned 173° on itself measured clockwise (117 × 360° / 243), which is the same as 187° measured anticlockwise.
